With his Cucina del Sole, Mario Gamba brings the sunshine not only into his restaurant, but also into your kitchen. Why Cucina del Sole? “My kitchen follows the sun. We only use products of the seasons – and they are wonderful,” he explains. “Tomatoes do not have the full taste throughout the year, even if supermarkets may want to get us believe this. They only develop their full flavour in the summer months, when they are naturally ripened by the sun. That's why we only use seasonal ingredients – and it can be wonderful to wait for a delicious treat.” Living, enjoying and cooking leisurely — it can be that easy.
